Poltrona Frau is a premium Italian design brand known for producing museum-quality leather furniture, including its classic chesterfield-inspired armchairs and sofas built with hand-stitched craftsmanship and lasting design value. It’s a step up from mass-market furniture brands.
Founded in 1912 by Renzo Frau, the company has been at the forefront of Italian furniture design and leather craftsmanship ever since. Its dedication to quality, heritage, and precision has made it a go-to choice for architects, designers, and everyday consumers. Poltrona Frau has worked alongside world-renowned designers like Gio Ponti, Jean-Marie Massaud, and Roberto Lazzeroni, and even designs interiors for automotive brands like Maserati and Ferrari.
Does Poltrona Frau Have Black Friday or Holiday Sales?
Not really. Unlike most of high end furniture brands, Poltrona Frau doesn’t chase big Black Friday or holiday discounts. Even there’re limited Poltrona Frau flagship stores in the US, but many 3rd party retailers and online stores carry Poltrona Frau products.
If you’re looking for Black Friday and holiday sales authorized dealers like DWR, 2Modern and Lumens might have some discounts and you can find Poltrona Frau products there. However, these discounts usually don’t apply to all products and may vary depending on the store.
Poltrona Frau’s Most Iconic Pieces
A few standouts have earned cult status over the years: the Chester line, the Dezza armchair by Gio Ponti, and the Kennedee sofa by Jean-Marie Massaud. These pieces have become staples in design collections around the world. Beyond furniture, Poltrona Frau also produces leather goods and offers interior design services, including custom leather finishes for luxury automotive and aviation interiors, working with brands like Maserati and Ferrari.
Bottom Line:
At the end of the day, Poltrona Frau’s dedication to design, quality, and craftsmanship has cemented its place as a leader in Italian furniture. Its collaborations with renowned designers have produced pieces that will be admired for generations. You won’t find a sale on Poltrona Frau furniture, but you can count on every piece being made with real care and attention to detail.
