There’s something quietly life-changing about a good lift chair. It’s the difference between struggling to your feet and gently, safely being eased into standing — no straining your back, no putting weight on aching knees, no needing someone else in the room to help. For anyone recovering from surgery, living with arthritis, or simply looking for a more supportive way to relax, a power lift recliner turns getting up from a chair into a non-event. And if you’ve been eyeing one for yourself or a parent, Black Friday and Christmas are consistently the best times of year to buy, with many top-rated models discounted well below their usual price.
What to Expect from Lift Chair Black Friday Deals
Every year, lift chairs and power recliners see some of the deepest furniture discounts of the season. Last year, several well-reviewed models dropped 15% to 30% off list price between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Below are the highest-rated lift chairs by category, pulled from real customer ratings and review counts on Amazon, Walmart, and Wayfair.
Best Overall:
- Signature Design by Ashley Yandel (Amazon): Dual motor lets you recline and lift the footrest independently, has a 300 lb weight capacity, metal-reinforced frame, and an optional battery backup for power outages.
Best Bang for the Buck:
If you want the core lift-and-recline function plus massage and heat without paying premium prices, this is the pick reviewers return to again and again.
- MCombo Power Lift Recliner Chair (Amazon): The MCombo Power Lift Recliner features FSC and OEKO-TEX certified materials, a TÜV-certified lift actuator, USB and Type-C charging ports, 2 cup holders, and a warranty. It has earned the trust of over 1 million customers.
Best for Massage and Heat:
For roughly $300, this model packs in more spa-style features than almost anything else on the market — a favorite for arthritis relief and everyday muscle tension.
- Flamaker Power Lift Recliner Chair (Amazon): The Flamaker Power Lift Recliner features a 4-point massage system covering the back, lumbar, thigh, and leg, with 5 modes, 2 intensity levels, and a programmable timer (15/30/60 minutes). It also includes easy-to-clean PU leather, 2 cup holders, and a convenient side pocket.
Big and Tall / Oversized:
Standard lift chairs can feel cramped for taller or larger-framed users. These oversized options give extra width and length without sacrificing the lift assist
- Red Barrel Studio Oversized Power Lift Chair (Wayfair): Quiet power lift with heat + vibration massage, hidden cup holders, USB port, and a 350 lb capacity — all wrapped in plush microfiber padding .
- Latitude Run Electric Power Lift Recliner (Wayfair): UL-approved silent lift mechanism, 4-zone massage with 5 rhythms and 2 intensities, and a near zero-gravity 150-degree recline.
Should I wait for Christmas or buy on Black Friday?
Black Friday comes first, so it’s usually the best window to catch the deepest lift chair discounts and the widest selection of colors and sizes before popular models sell out. If you miss it, Christmas sales are typically the next best opportunity — but stock and color options tend to be more limited by then. Because lift chairs are a bigger, considered purchase, it’s worth comparing prices across Amazon, Walmart, and Wayfair in the weeks leading up to Black Friday so you can move quickly once the sale actually starts.
Wrap Up:
A lift chair is more than a recliner — for many people, it’s what makes independent living possible day to day. Whether you’re shopping for the best overall rated model, a budget-friendly option with massage and heat, or an oversized chair for a bigger frame, Black Friday remains the best time of year to buy. Compare a few top-rated models ahead of time, decide which features actually matter (heat, massage, dual motors, weight capacity), and be ready to check out as soon as the sale goes live — the best-reviewed lift chairs tend to sell out fast.
